Xilo-Baumschutz wins the GroundsFest Innovation Award 2026
We are thrilled to have received a special award: Our Xilo tree protection system, hereinafter referred to as Pure Poplar Guard, was honored with the 2026 GroundsFest Innovation Award in the “Landscape Consumables – New Product” category.
Even being nominated for the shortlist of the GroundsFest Innovation Awards 2026 was a great honor for us. We are all the more delighted that the Pure Poplar Guard ultimately emerged as the winner in its category.
This success belongs to our entire team and all our partners who contributed their expertise and passion to the development and implementation of the Pure Poplar Guard.
At the same time, this award serves as an incentive for us: We are committed to continuing to develop innovative and sustainable solutions that deliver results in practice and create real added value.

PROJECT DAY HBLA BRUCK/MUR
On April 9, 2026, we visited the Federal Higher Education Institute for Forestry in Bruck an der Mur as part of their project days to introduce the students to the benefits of our sustainable tree sleeves through a small competition.
Working in small teams, the students set up both conventional plastic covers and our biodegradable wooden tree covers for comparison, calculated the time required for installation and removal as well as the resulting amounts of plastic waste, and subsequently compared the cost and labor involved.
We are pleased to report that we received very positive feedback on our XILO tree protection system.
